Buseesa Demonstration Farm, nestled in the heart of Buseesa Trading Centre (Kasalaba), Matale Sub County, Kibaale District, was honored to host Hon. Fred Byamukama during his recent visit.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Honourable Minister for taking time to tour our facility, as well as to the distinguished team that accompanied him — the Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Assistant RDC, District Police Officer (DPO), Matale Sub County Extension Worker, and the Sub County Chief. Your presence was a great source of motivation and encouragement.
Buseesa Demonstration Farm stands as a living testimony that diversified farming is the key to social and economic transformation. We encourage the public, especially youth and smallholder farmers, to embrace multiple agricultural enterprises to improve household income, create jobs, and strengthen food security.
With the support of leaders like Hon. Fred Byamukama and other stakeholders, we remain committed to advancing modern farming techniques, training farmers, and inspiring communities towards prosperity through agriculture.
During the visit, Hon. Byamukama explored our wide range of innovative and income-generating projects, including: Piggery, Poultry, Dairy Cattle, Fish Ponds, Biogas Production, Pasture Gardens, Apiary (Bee Keeping), Rabbit Rearing and several other ventures aimed at showcasing best farming practices.
These projects are not only practical demonstrations but also powerful income drivers. Collectively, they generate a net annual profit of over UGX 280 million, proving that agriculture — when done right — can be both sustainable and profitable.
