Buseesa Savings and Credit Cooperative Society (SACCO) held its Annual General Meeting on the 28th December, 2022. The function took place at the Busesa Community Development Organization (BCDO) headquarters in Buseesa Trading Centre, Matale Sub County, Kibbale District.
In his remarks Dr. Lubega Richard, the BCDO Executive Director said that the SACCO has grown from originally supporting small-scale isolated projects benefiting a few households to supporting multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral programs and projects, transforming the lives of a wide range of communities. He added that to date the SACCO has over 100 members who save on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
A member is free to save with the SACCO anytime be it daily, weekly, or monthly. A members can also apply for a loan at a very small interest rate. The savings and loans are geared towards the improvement of the livelihoods of members, their families, and certainly the community where the SAACO is operating.

The Kibaale District Resident District Commissioner(RDC) Mr. Godwin Angalia Kasigwa said that the government of Uganda is committed to drive people out of poverty.
All these programs ike NAADS, PDM, EMYOGA, Operational Wealth Creation, Youth Livelihood and many others are coming up to benefit the youth, women and everyone.

He encouraged the people of uganda and Kibaale district in particuar to embrace the different government programs that are intended to improve the livelihood of Ugandans.
Hon. Dr. Emily Kugonza who is the area member of parliament for Buyanja East graced the function as the Chief Guest. Dr. Emily said that applauded Busesa Community Development Organization and Buseesa SACCO members for continously improving their lives that those of their communities. He commended the work done by the leadership of the SACCO inorder for it to grow to where it is today.
For every SAACO to thrive, its leadership must strong enough. The performance of every SACCO depends on its leadership because the leadership can change the ways of work and also attract members to love their SACCO and develop it.

He called upon Ugandans to keep peace, work for development and educate their children.
Dr. Emily was gifted with a cock and a bunch of matooke in appreciation for his love and supoort for Busesa Community Develooment Organization.
The SACCO AGM was graced by the area Member Of Parliament Hon. Dr. Emily Kugonza, RDC Kibaale, religious leaders and other political and technical staff within Bunyoro region.
