The prime minister of Uganda, Robinah Nabanja, has urged locals in Kibaale district to embrace visionary farming if they are to overcome poverty.
The minister was basing this on an example of a model farmer in the district, Dr. Richard Lubega, who has established over four agricultural projects such as piggery project, goat, poultry and cattle on only one an acre of land and managed to reap much financially.
During an Agricultural Expo in three major districts of Kibaale, Kagadi and Kakumiro aimed at promoting government programs and how farmers in the three districts have used the programs’ funds to enhance their financial statuses and abilities their respective communities, the Prime Minister of Uganda, Hon Robinah Nabanja, urged locals to work hard and overcome poverty.

After her arrival at Buseesa Community Development Organization (BCDO), she paid her praise to Dr Lubega Richard for effectively complying to the government programs like the Parish Development Model, EMYOGA and many others as implemented by the government with the purpose of enhancing development among the people of Uganda.
Nabanja said this on 7th-Oct-2023 while addressing hundreds of people at BCDO farm in buseesa Lc1, Kaisekenkere parish, Matale Sub County, Kibaale district.
Nabanja was in company of other Ministers including; Minister for finance Development and Planning Hon. Matia Kasaija Minister for ICT and National Guidance Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, State Minister for Agriculture, Animal industry and Fisheries Hon. Fred Bwino Kyakulaga among others.
