The application of disinfectants has been done at Buseesa Community Development Organization (BCDO) demo farm in preparation for the demonstration process that is due to take place at the farm tomorrow.
This was done today morning under the supervision of Achiwo Beatrice a veterinary officer at bcdo demo farm.
She said the application of the disinfectants is one of the methods that can be used at any farm in order to prevent the animals from being attacked by diseases.
Achiwo said that the process is the easiest one where it will just require the new entrants to step into the disinfectants confirming that this will kill the germs one might have unknowingly contracted from other farms.
She continued to explain that the disinfectant points have been installed at the entrances of each poultry house, sties, goat shelter and the cow barn.
Mrs. Achiwo also explained that this has been done mainly to match with the quality and standards of a demo farm as they look forward to hosting the prime minister for a demonstration organized by the government country wide.
