Busesa Community Development Organization has embarked on the Community Health Promotion And Development Project with the goal of enabling people to increase control over and improve their health for development.
The project is being implemented in Kibaale District and will run up to 2031. The objectives of the project include;
- Mobilization for increase in uptake of government health services
- To improve uptake of family planning activities in the District.
- Formation and capacity building for village health committees
- Community-led health diagnosis for the identified problem.
The project will among other services focus on
- Provision of curative services
- Immunization of children against immunizable diseases to promote child health.
- Offering reproductive health services like antenatal, maternity, family planning and adolescent sex education.
- Training of community health workers on nutrition, environmental sanitation and home management to equip their communities and prevent diseases.
- HIV testing and counseling.
- Enrolment of HIV-positive clients on antiretroviral therapy.
- Providing special consultation on preventable diseases
It’s on thatbackground that BCDO is inviting potential partners to work with BCDO in reaching out to vulnerable people in Kibaale district so as to cub down disease spread among children and women.
Currently BCDO is patnering with Maristopes Uganda, Pathfinder, Kibaale District Local Goverment and other partners.
