The Executive Director for Busesa Community Development Organization (BCDO) DR Richard Lubega has advised the residents of kayanja Sub County to always go for medical tests in order to know their health status

Dr Richard said this on 24-sep-2023 while addressing hundreds of people during the launching of the community health and project promotion campaign organized by BCDO at st Andrew primary school, Igunda lc1 kayanja Sub County in Kibaale district.

He asserted that the sole purpose of the outreach is to improve community health amongst the people of kibaale district and Uganda at large as per the aims and objectives of the BCDO

Dr Richard continued to highlight the importance of a medical test to people by explaining that: it helps one detect a condition, determine a diagnosis, plan treatment and check whether the treatment is working.

Dr Richard also confirmed that the project is to spread to different parts of the district and the country at large and confirmed that already he has got some support from some of the NGOS like KISON, BAILAR UGANDA and many others and he continued to ask for more support especially from the government such that the process can go on and reach more people from the so called hard to reach areas in order

Many people were eager for the program and rushed for tests on different STDS (sexual transmitted diseases), something they considered a privilege for the community

Kirabo rosemary a resident praised Dr Richard for the work he did to extend the services nearer to them and continued to extend her outcry to the government for the health Centre in the sub county.

She continued to explain that they travel long distances mostly to Matale health Centre iii and Kyebando health Centre’s to have access to health services, something she said is costly and unaffordable by the people of kayanja who are low income earners
