BCDO embarked on an exercise of castrating bucks to improve on their growth rates, quality and to reduce on the number of bucks that would affect the breeds.
During the exercise 8 bucks were castrated and treated by Dr Gwosusa Antony and Dr Muhwezi Jimmy Bamanya working with Biyinzika Poultry Farm.
The same exercise was done on the pigs where 14
piglets were castrated. The Doctors noted that the health status of the animals at Busesa Community Development Organization demonstration farm is good and that the farm is faced in the right direction.
