Buseesa medical Centre III has conducted measles Lubera campaign to the community around Buseesa medical Centre III. This exercise took place on 29th. October. 2022 for the children between 2 months – 5 years. This campaign was meant to fight against measles Lubera as it was clearly mentioned by Tumusiime Martin the in charge before the exercise began. “He said that the vaccine does not have any side effect to the children” and he said to parents that your children are benefiting in this exercise where by Immunization can save your child’s life and he said Vaccination is very safe and effective where by Because of advances in medical science, your child can be protected against more diseases than ever before. Some diseases that once injured or killed thousands of children have been eliminated completely, and others are close to extinction – primarily due to safe and effective vaccines and this exercise protects others you care about. He also said to parents that Immunizations can save your family time and money and also protects future generations where by Vaccines have reduced and, in some cases, eliminated many diseases that killed or severely disabled people just a few generations ago. For example, smallpox vaccination eradicated that disease worldwide. Your children don’t have to get smallpox shots anymore because the disease no longer exists. By vaccinating children against rubella, the risk that pregnant women will pass this virus on to their fetus or newborn has been dramatically decreased, and birth defects associated with that virus no longer existing. in nutshell here at Buseesa Medical Centre III we also have routine vaccination for other diseases Polio, Tetanus, Tuberculosis, Dip Celia and many other diseases to keep our community safe and health since the government also needs the health people as the ministry of health directed.
