This exercise took place on 20/11/2022 at BMC III ground where by the in charge of the exercise said that Family planning is widely recognized as one of the most cost-effective health interventions and also encouraged mothers to practice this exercise of contraception where by Contraception can be used to plan when people have children and how many children they have. Under this she said that it includes, choosing when they want to begin having children and how far apart they want their children to be and also when they want to stop having children

She also said that it helps in Delaying or spacing babies which allows women and men to follow education and career goals that may be interrupted by having children through empowering people and it increases their ability to earn more.

She also talked about mothers with fewer children, that such families are able to invest more in each child.

One parent asked the in charge that how long the injection takes to stop my period. The in charge replied that after two to three injections, many women will have no periods at all because there is no lining building at all and some women will have nuisance bleeding, which is usually light and irregular. Occasionally a woman will have troublesome heavy bleeding, which can usually be controlled by hormone treatment.

Another parent also asked the in charge that why does the injections stop periods? “ the in charge she replied that Periods can stop on the injection because it’s very good at keeping the lining of the womb thin” and Around 4 in 10 mothers using the injection will have no periods, and for those who do have periods, they are usually much lighter and less painful.

In the conclusion therefore, the in charge encouraged mothers that all Partners should be taken part in family planning counseling sessions.
