Buseesa Medical Center III has opened a maternal Child Health department. The department is mandated to manage family planning, antenatal care, immunization, and management of reproductive health-related conditions.
The department aims at ensuring that mothers and children get quality health care services, deliver children by choice not by chance, promote the growth of children and prevent disability through the prevention of immunizable diseases.
Buseesa Medical Center III receives 150 clients for family planning over 180 mothers for antenatal care and 110 children for immunization.
It’s therefore important to put in place a special department for such a big number of clients for them to receive quality services.
There is a lot that has not been accomplished including but not limited to; a delivery bed, oxygen concentrator, suction machine, baby incubators, delivery kits, examination couch, weighing scales, shelves, and drugs among others.
With your support, seriously ill mothers and children will be quickly be attended to and will find ease in accessing services that will help reduce the risks of maternal and infant mortality.
