This activity held on 26/11/2022 at buseesa community development organization farm were by the Dr. Lubega Richard the director BCDO thanked Mr. RDC for visiting BCDO farm and to see what they are doing.
Mr. KASIGWA GODWIN a new Kibaale district RDC has managed to visit different BCDO projects like medical department, piggery project, cattle project, goat project and fishery project . In this exercise the BDCO executive director LUBEGA RICHARD once again thanked Mr.RDC for his appreciation about the type of pig and size of pig he is having and also the methods he is using to feed them minus forgetting the good care he is providing to his farm.
Under this the executive director BCDO asked Mr. RDC to help him and get for them another place or farms where they can go and learn more about piggery, cattle ,goat rearing and fisheries. In addition to that the BCDO director also encouraged those institution schools that deals with agricultural and animal rearing, that they can also come and learn more practical skills according to the type of animals they are having and other activities they are doing.
The BCDO executive director once again asked Mr. RDC to connect him in different markets for pig since the number of pigs has increased now days and he said that they can manage to supply those who are willingly to purchase like 50 piglets and he also talked about the challenge he is getting in his farm that he has only local market, in other wards he would like also to be connected to big companies which can manage to purchase 50 piglets and above.
Once again BCDO executive director also talked about the pressure he is having among his neighbors were you find that his animals tend to escape from the farm and disturbs his neighbors’ gardens .he also said that they have got a challenge of fake agricultural inputs and scarce water for the organization mostly during dry seasons.
BCDO executive director also requested district leaders and local government to help him in looking market for his animals especially when they supplying animals like pig, goats and fish species on a whole sale and he also asked for the leaders to come in his farm as one way of socializing people in his country and to make them understanding what they are doing at BCDO.
Mr. KASIGWA GODWIN Kibaale district RDC thanked BCDO director Lubega Richard for the manifesto he is doing from direct farming to commercial farming within his community and in different departments like piggery, Goat rearing, cow rearing and fisheries.
In RDC’s conclusion he promised to bring all chancellors in Kibaale district in a short time to come and learn how they can also improve on their income and he promised Dr. LUBEGA RICHARD the executive director BCDO that he will also come again with the president of Uganda to come and visit his farm.
