Busesa Community Development Organization (BCDO) participated in the workshop for Restore Africa project. The workshop took place at Hoima Resort Hotel, Hoima City on the 18th April, 2024. Restore Africa program benefits are to increase on-farm biodiversity and improve ecosystem services, improve soil quality and water filtration, and increase food security and diversity among others.

The BCDO Executive Director Lubega Richard represented the organization and made a presentation on the roles of farmers in the Restore Africa project.

Restore Africa project is spearheaded by Hoima Caritas Development Organization (HOCADEO). The project is targeting to supply 1.7 million indigenous tree seedlings to 23,920 households for 5 years in selected 8 sub-counties of Nyamarwa, Kabasekende, Matale, Bubango, Mugarama, Karama, Kyebando and Kasimbi.

HOCADEO pledged to work with existing nursery bed owners to supply the seedlings to local farmers.
