Over 100 People Benefit From Free Prostate, Cervical Cancer Screening at Buseesa Medical Center III

Over 100 people have benefited from the free Screening of prostate and cervical cancer during the first day of the launch of a two day exercise at Buseesa Medical Center III in Matale Sub County in Kibaale district.

Organized and supported by MARIE STOPES an aid organization, the launch was held at Buseesa Medical Centre III in their bid to guard against reproductive health diseases.

Dr. Samuel Iswaat, the Center Manager at MARIE STOPES from Hoima noted that prostate cancer is common in Men and cervical cancer in women respectively and are both caused by Propuloma Virus transmitted due to sexual intercourse.

Dr. Iswaat said since such killer diseases have remained problematic and victims remain vulnerable to awareness, they have stepped up for Cancer screening in various places calling on the public to embrace tests/checkups
