Busesa Community Development Organization (BCDO) received Caimi Fernando and Claudia Cataren both from Netherlands who visited and appreciated work done at BCDOs projects like Buseesa Medical Center lll, piggery, goats, fish, water and SACCO projects. The team was led by Father Ziwa Pascal.
The purpose of their visit was to supervise selected Non-Governmental Organizations that have cooperative services integrated into their programs, for community development.
Both Caimi Fernando and Claudia Cateren were fascinated by the work done at BCDO and promised to pay another visit in order to have a deeper understanding of the projects at BCDO and chat a way forward.
While at Buseesa Medical Center III, Caimi Fernando tested for his blood pressure and this task was successfully accomplished by BCDO Executive Director Dr. Lubega Richard.
The team also visited the BCDO fish project located in Kajuma Village, Matale Sub-county in Kibaale District where they were exposed to different species of fish being reared at by BCDO.
Dr. Richard Lubega said that the community is benefiting from the project in terms of getting employment opportunities, supplying fish feeds and later improving on their nutrition by feeding on fish.
