Busesa SACCO successfully held an Annual General Meeting that attracted political aspirants for Kibaale District LCV sit, District Councilors, LC III, and parish councilors. The AGM was also attended by Stanbic Bank representative Mr Anold Sekaja who trained members on financial related matters, and the District commercial Officer Mr Sedrak who trained members on Emyoga .
In his opening remarks, Mr. Richard Lubega the Executive Director for Busesa Community Development Organization who is also the new Chairman for the SACCO said that the SACCO has over the years generated outstanding positive impact in the lives of many poor people.
From originally supporting small sign isolated projects benefiting a few households to supporting multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral programs and projects, transforming the lives of a wide range of communities.Says Richard
He added that the SACCO’s work is mainly focused on savings and giving credit support to people dealing in trading, agriculture, health, group, SACCOs, fisheries, and school fees. He added that the catchment areas is Matale, Karoma, Nyamarwa, Kyebando, and Kayanja.
A total of one million was collected from the political aspirants and the SACCO has a net worth of 24,000,000 million and 97 registered members.
