Buseesa medical centre III receives averagely 55 mothers per month for antenatal checkup, HIV screening and those found HIV positive are enrolled for Antiretral viro therapy (ART). They also undergo syphilis test (RPR) and Urinalysis.
During antenatal visits, mothers undergo pelvic examination for adequacy to ensure that at time of delivery the mother does not get complications.
We also provide routine antenatal treatment to boost their immunity, blood levels, Deworming and prevention of malaria.
Health education is given on that and how to prepare for the coming baby.
We also ensure that mothers with complications are referred to relevant higher health facilities using our vehicle ].
